WHAT  CAN  I  DO  TO  HELP?

TO YOUR WINDOWS

In your home, you can alter your windows to break the illusion of an open space. To deter small birds, the marking or patterns on your windows must be no more than 2 inches apart from each other across the entire surface.

IN YOUR HOME

Across US cities, The lights-out initiative has been gaining traction. The Lights out initiative is a movement that seeks to help migratory birds during migration season by reducing the amount of artificial light in their pathways. How you can get involved with this initiative is simple. Turning off all non-essential lights from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. during migration season. In addition, using blinds can also help as it dims all the artificial light inside your home.
